The easiest way to remove a template is to go to the finder and search for the template folder and move it to another temporary folder, for example, your desktop or add it to your trash.
First, you will need to quit Final Cut Pro and then follow the directions below.
Depending on what you remove you will go to the folder that corresponds to what you are trying to remove:
- For Effects go here: Users/Movies/Motion Templates/Effects/Motion Master Templates/ ( The folder named of the effect you want to remove or move )
- For Generators go here: Users/Movies/Motion Templates/Generators/Motion Master Templates/ ( The folder named of the generator you want to remove or move )
- For Titles go here: Users/Movies/Motion Templates/Titles/Motion Master Templates/ ( The folder named of the title you want to remove or move )
- For Transitions go here: Users/Movies/Motion Templates/Transitions/Motion Master Templates/ ( The folder named of the effect you want to remove or move )
Once you have removed the template you needed to remove you can then restart Final Cut Pro. If you then need to add the template back in then drag the folder back into the corresponding folder.
