    • Hello @jack765873! Thank you for joining. That sounds like a great idea. Do you have any examples of what you would like to see in a broadcast package? Thank you for your suggestion and have an amazing day! :joys:

      • Thank you, Jack! I have added your request to the do list. I will let you know as soon as I start working on something to keep you in the loop. Thank you! 🙂

      • Hello @jack765873. Just wanted to let you know that I plan to start working on something new soon. In order to keep things original and fresh, I plan to play off what you had sent me as an example but update it so it is different and unique. I will keep you posted on any progress here. Thank you. 🙂

      • Thanks Deyson, it does not have to be simmillar, like you can remove the lines. i believe you will do a great Job as always. looking forward for your creativity. Thanks Deyson 🙂

      • Hi @jack765873, I want to be sure to get it right. There seems to be a lot of lines. Do you mean the lines in which the text appears on? Thank you 🙂

      • Yes I think if Lines are removed it will be totally different, and you can divide it in 3 or 5 parts as 5 singles projects, When people buy they will know what they want and is very easy in FCPX to put together.

      • Ok. I will post progress as I play around with it. Also, do you have any footage you would like me to test with?

      • That would be fine. Just send me a couple of clips so I can get an idea. Also, please send me an example of what you have created so far, so I can get an idea of your direction. You can send me the files to Dropbox or by using this link: https://jumpshare.com/i/deyson

Thank you and have an excellent day!

  1. I want to recreate the NETFLIX logo animation that pops on the screen before watching a show on the app. I want to be able to change the wording which is why I want to create it somehow in Motion. I have looked all over the internet for tutorials. Unfortunately, many of them are for After Effects and Cinema 4D. Is there anyway you could create this? Thanks so much!

  2. Hello and good day!

Below I had linked the Beta Version of the Player Line-Up template for all current members.

    – You will find Player Line-Up in Titles Browser
    – The Field Background animation is in the Generators Browser.

Please share your feedback by replying to this comment. Thank you and have an excellent day! 🙂

  3. Hey Deyson
I have a request. I use your DVD template ‘Product Intro’ and would love to see the template for a Double DVD set, as well as the single DVD. Any hope? Regards, Vince

    • Hello Vince and good day.

I do not know if you are aware of a product called mObject. It allows for the creation of 3D animations inside of Motion. I have sent a message to the owner to see if they would allow 3rd party creators to create templates to be distributed outside of their website. This program would make it much easier to create more advanced templates.

The solution I had used back when I had originally created this template used Blender and Apple’s Motion software. Blender is what I had used to create the 3D animation and Motion is where I added the color filters, text and drop zones on top of the already rendered video files. It was a great solution at the time as there was no other way of achieving this.

The limitations to that technique are that renders are only 1920×1080 & 24 or 60p resolution, file sizes are large and there is no ability to change camera angles, fewer parameters and no alternate version opportunities in one single template. Using a plugin such as mObject allows for many more options and render output.

On the new store, which I plan on launching soon, I will eliminate many of those templates for new customers. Customers that have already purchased them will still have access to them.

As soon as I hear back from MotionVFX, I will let you know what he recommends.

Please let me know what you think. Thank you very much for your valuable time and request. 🙂

      • Hi Deyson

        Great response, as always.

ok – I’m having all kinds of hell trying to use bounce drop  templates in both motion and FCP

I attach screen shots. 1 in FCP I cannot find all the templates, only some show…. Then I also can’t seem to import a number of stills to use.  Also my screen is different. You show a series of clickable switches to show the inspector and so on under the project scree, to the right. As you see – I don’t have those items? In Motion I find the templates but cannot import stills to use, I can’t drag and drop and so get stuck!

Been hours trying – now about to give up. Your video – I assume is FCP, not Motion, and soon as you get to find the templates, I’m lost.

It seems so simple but if one can’t just select a template and easily import neww stills for it, it s just about imp[ossible to use.

I am using FCP 10.4 and Motion 5.3.2

        I’m obviously missing something here.

  4. I just got this request through email:

    Hi Deyson
Thought I pass on the idea for two new plugins that I think would do really well for FCPX

2 other FCPX plugins needed: In building sales videos there are two plugins needed I can’t find much on out there. First is a testimonial plugin that allows me to choose between a couple dozen styles of testimonials the second is a Guarantee plugin. Give me a plugin that has over 20+ different looking professionally designed guarantees I can modify the headline or text inside it. It would include types of Guarantee Badges are for the casual or professional markets. Hope this helps.

    Ed

  5. Another customer request by email:

I’m looking for an FCPX plugin that allows for various slide out panels (top, side, bottom, with animations) but that allows me to turn off all the text and graphics (or even none) leaving me with only the panel so I can use my own Title plugins and a bullet plugin to build my own panel text. Can’t find one to do this yet… Thanks

  6. I create music for Music Supervisors to listen to. When they are listening to your songs they are clicking around looking for changes in the songs and they never hit the sweet spots of the song. They are constantly rewinding and fast-forwarding. Can you create a template that will allow me to mark sections of the songs, like verse, chorus, bridge, outro and etc? They can click on the marker and go directly to the sweet spots and changes. Soundcloud has something like this where you can see comments on the song timeline where people have commented on your song for the specific section they like.

    • Out of curiosity, when you send a file to your music supervisor, would QuickTime be a possible way for them to listen to the music? The reason I ask is that from what I remember, we can add markers to Quicktime files. I believe we can also export those markers from Final Cut Pro. Please let me know if this interested you and we can look into it further.

      • Hello. How would this work in Quicktime? I placed markers in FCPX but they did not show up in the video I exported. The Music Supervisors listen to the audio and if they like your material they will visit your website where I will have the videos. I’m still looking for a source to place clickable markers/ placeholder on or into an audio file.

      • Perfect, Perfect, Perfect. Can this work in Vimeo or other video platforms like Quicktime player?

I know you are a busy person, but I’m truly gracefully for your quick replies and showing concern.

Not only do you make excellent products and run a great business, but more importantly you care about people.

        Thank you very much

      • Thank you for your kind words. I do enjoying helping. 🙂

This will work in Quicktime. In regard to Vimeo, I do not think it is possible using the technique I had shown you. To be able to do something like that, we would need to use their advanced API developer controls.

Here are examples of how advanced Vimeo can get: https://player.vimeo.com/api/demo

Here is more information on API for Vimeo: https://github.com/vimeo/player.js/#setcurrenttimeseconds-number-promisenumber-rangeerrorerror

If this is something we do a lot of, it may be best to setup a sort of web template with time inputs linked to the API controls.

        Hope this helps 🙂

    • I love the idea of a song template. Do you happen to have any examples of what you would like it to look like, sketches, links, doodles? Or would you like me to get creative with it?

      • Hello Deyson. Here’s an image of a video that I DIY to help promote and sell my music. Hope this helps give you more insight into what I’m trying to create. Please do get creative with it. Two creators are better than one.

      • Thank you for the image, it helps explain a lot. So I assume that the markers would have to be manually adjusted and or added depending on the track.

What is the limit of Markers we should have?

        Thank you. 🙂

      • Hello Deyson

These are the Markers needed. 10 slots Max but most songs will use 7 markers.
Intro, Verse 1, Chorus 1, Verse 2, Chorus 2, Bridge or Rap Verse, Drop 1, Drop 2 and Outro.

I had to add the markers manually because there is no plugin to do it.
Every song location will be different for the markers.

Music supervisors listen to a lot of music daily and they look at the wave form to decide when the songs is changing.
If they were markers they can quickly listen to more on your songs.
This is something no one is doing when submitting their songs. It will make me stand out.
It can also be a service that you can sell to the music industry especially songwriter, film editors, producer and a service/platform that Music Supervisors will subscribe to and push their client too.
It is a big time saver when you are listening to hundreds of songs to pick for a movie with a deadline.

      • Hi,

Okay, that makes sense. I think we can create something with markers and text input that could slide back and forth based on the parameter. We could also turn Markers on/off as needed.

Let me see what I can do. Please allow me at least 2 weeks as I have some templates and migrations I am working on right now.

        Thank you 🙂

      • Hello @rhynell-2 . I just wanted to let you know that I am currently working on this. Vuo 2 had finally come out and I think it may be of some help. The challenge is the Visualizer because Apple’s Motion Visualizer does not work in Final Cut Pro. So I have been trying to figure out a workaround.

Also, in your PDF you have some sections that need to be clicked on? How will the viewer be able to click on the buttons on the video? Will you use a different program to make programmable buttons on the video?

I will keep you posted. Thank you for your patience.

    • The Graph idea is also great. However, in Final Cut Pro there is no way, yet, to read the music to have the graph animate to it. However, it can be done in Motion. So maybe I can create a template that could be used in Final Cut Pro with Presets ( BPM, Speed, ETC ) and the option to read the music if we use Motion.

Please let me know what you think.

      • Okay and thanks for the reply. If you can do it in Motion when you have time I will be very delighted.

      • I think I will try to do something for both. It may take me a bit as I am in the middle of prepping new templates and migrating all subscribers to the Woo Subscriptions platform. I will comment here as soon as I am ready. Also, I have responded to your other requests in your comments below. Have an amazing day! 🙂

    • Hi, Rynell. I just moved your comment to the Requests page. In regard to your question, is this something you would like to be made into a template or were you looking for a custom project? The write-on text is the tricky part to make a template out of. I would have to research, but it may have to be done manually.

Here is something I had done recently using a Write-On technique:

      https://vimeo.com/340934936

      • Hello, I am assuming that you want the write-on effect? Everything else can be templates, but the writing of the words may be a little tricky. Let me ponder it, maybe we can come up with something similar. 🙂

  7. Hi Deyson,

Hope this finds you and all the family well. Just a mad idea for a template… I frequently change the cover video on the Galway Women’s FC FB page.

I think it is the coolest thing that when someone lands on your FB page, the 1st thing they see is the cover video. I update scores (results from games) Upcoming games etc.

There are so many things you can put up there, but no-one has created a template that will bang out a specific sized movie (820 x 462) with lots of text and perhaps video/image placeholders.

I’ll put it another way if I produce a cover video or edit a current video, (e.g 1920 x 1080) I have to choose what part of the video I wish the viewer to see, so in other words, the video gets cropped by FB. Now I can do a workaround, where I insert text messages and the key video parts in the middle of the screen (I’ve attached the current one to explain).

? So what so wonderful about this new template since I can make a project/event in FCPX that is 820 x 462?

    A. I don’t want to be figuring out exactly what will (and won’t) show in the video. I would like a firm template 820 x 462 in size. Where I can promptly add text, change colours, move placeholders around, add my logos, edit text, etc. and generate an output video that will default at 820 x 462.

There are companies that have FB templates for FCPX, but all they are doing is creating an imitation FB page, which is grand if that’s what people want! I think that there is a golden opportunity to have a go at this Deyson:

    FACEBOOK COVER TEMPLATE MMT

Template default size (On screen) 820 x 462 (WYSIWYG)
Inputs: 5 text – Fully editable
Inputs: 2 or 3 Video/ Image inputs (Select how many you require)
Background chooser: Make anything your background image / Video?
    Export as MP4

All of the above-mentioned items are things you have done in the past Deyson, I’d say you could bang this out in your sleep!

    What do you think?

    All the best

  8. I would be great to have a kinetic template built from drop boxes, where you place say a product in the drop box, and the box falls down, smashing the ground, with a bit of smoke(dust). Different functions would be: Drop, Roll, Bounce, ect. So the object has certain kinetic motion as it displays on the screen. There are no other templates that do this, so either it can’t be done, or no one wants to take the time to make it. I am in the business of product sales, and it would be nice to catch the viewers attention with some motion, since you only have a few seconds to get it. So buy our lunch boxes, or buy our radios, or buy our tires, all these things would be great to use in this manner. So far if I want anything like this I need to build them individually, and I don’t have the time to make them for each product.

    • Hello, Doug.
Thank you for your request. I like it. I wonder if it would be better to make this into a transition. This way we can apply it to any layer on the project timeline. Also, since it is a transition we can add it to the middle of a clip and make things bounce or shake for extra attention.

Here are some animation examples that I thought would be good for inspiration:

Please let me know what you think. Thank you and have an amazing day! 🙂
